Oh, my goodness!!!!..I always knew house cleaning was bad for your health!!!...lol...I worked in the house all day Monday and part of the night polishing my wood furniture, mopping, laundry, etc...A good Spring clean...But then my foot started hurting...I found the lump that i've noticed before, but ignored...Then i saw the lump..The lump was killing me even when I wasn't moving, so off to the drs today after 3 days of pain...She thinks it is a ganglion cyst....It's a big one and it HURTS....So, she is sending me to a orthopedic doctor...So much fun!..So in the meantime, I'm just limping around....It is right on top of my foot right past where my ankle and foot meet....So, it is aggravated pretty much every time I move my foot and when I'm sitting still....

Yesterday, I was on the computer charting all day...I got 2 patterns charted and almost a 3rd one....Cloverdale Road, Spring Is Best, and Precious Memories...So hopefully they will be ready soon....

Off to put some chili fixins in the crockpot....Hopefully, Luke will take a nap. I can then do something that requires sitting for a while, so I can keep this foot still...UGH!!..I DON'T have time for this!!..Too much to do!!!!~~hugs, Jen

Jen,
I had a ganglion cyst on my finger last year and went to a specialist. I didn't have to have surgery. He just took the gunk out and injected some cortisone. I hope you get yours taken care of soon.

Yes cleaning is tiring , but just think, spring will be here soon.
Oh, I hope your foot gets better. My doctor thought I had a ganglion cyst on the palm of my hand but when I went to the orthopedic doctor, it turned out to be dupitrens contracture, which required surgery. Mine was this chicken fat like substance that attaches to the tendons in my hand and if I didn't get it removed my fingers would retract and never straighten out again. I sure hope yours is only a ganglion cyst and not what I had. It will still need to be removed though.
Hope you get it fixed before good weather comes. No fun being couped up inside with a bum foot.

Hi jen
I always knew housework had to be bad for the health LOL..I remeber an old great aunt had one of the cyst thingys and guess what the old remedy was..hit it with the hammer..so watch out if the Dr brings one out LOL..Joking aside hope it is not serious and take advantage of putting your feet up...♥

I had a ganglion cyst on my wrist years ago. My MIL, who was a nurse, said that in the old days you'd just smack it on the table and it would go away! So I figured -- what the heck, and I tried it. And guess what? It worked!! Not that I would necessarily recommend doing that, but sometimes those old remedies work! Good luck with your foot -- I'm sure it is terribly painful....

I sure hope you have been able to rest that foot as it sounds very painful indeed! No more spring cleaning until your fully recovered.

Take Care Jen and Rest Up,
Hugs,

How interesting to hear the different versions of the cyst. My mother had one on her wrist and the doctor called it a Bible cyst. He actually hit it with a Bible and it went away. Sure hope you find some relief soon..

Hope your foot gets better! Maybe it's caused by too much house cleaning you think? Your stitchery is very nice!
