A Special Day.......
Thirteen years ago on this day I was at the hospital getting ready for a
simple procedure to remove part of my thyroid....Hours later the news
that cancer was found...6 months to a
year survival was told to my husband and parents...I wasn't told til 2 days later
and my journey began...How do you wrap your mind around that news? What
do you do? What do you say? The look on my husband's face... The tears in
my momma's eyes... Hearing my daddy cry...My siblings sitting with me and
making me laugh...Family coming...Family leaving and the quiet almost
unbearable...More tests... 2nd opinion...Another surgery...Chemo... No hair...Tim
reading the Bible to me because the chemo affected my eyesight...Momma
sitting up with me when I was in so much pain from chemo...My best friend
JoAnn coming...Radiation...Lost my voice and they didn't know if it would
come back...GOD Blessed me with people all along the way...And when I was
alone GOD was there with me...HE gave me a peace that ONLY HE CAN GIVE... He
had other plans... Thirteen years later I have my 8 yr old, Luke... I can speak
and sing again...My heart is so full and thoughts are jumbled...I'm just
sooooooooooooo thankful to be here today with the friends, family, and the
life I have...I'm so BLESSED!!!!!

A Weekend Flag Project....
One of our weekend projects a few weeks ago...This was a leftover project from last summer we never got around to...A 3' x 5' piece of tin Tim made at work for a flag....It is heavy and weathering...We plan on hanging it on the side of the house over my butterfly bushes.....Many projects in the works...

I think I might have figured out how to blog from my phone...It is a bit challenging...Sorry it has been so long since my last visit....Still plagued by computer problems, so I'm usually online on my phone and maneuvering around...I thought I would try posting from it..
These pics are from last week after a bad storm went through...Tim and Taylor had just left hours earlier to go out of town for a family funeral...I stayed home with Luke...It was very scary...First we heard cracking and I saw branches...All I could do was yell for Luke to get to the front of the house...Then we lost power for hrs...Everything is back to normal now...The trees have been cut down...We lost 3 of them...And a lot of damage to my favorite shade trees...But everything is ok...I hope everyone is doing well and are looking forward to a wonderful weekend...
