I'm still making messes while rearranging around the house...Not sure it will ever end...lol

Empty spots...I want Tim to build me a cabinet to put in the empty spot in the kitchen where my table use to be...It now sits in the diningroom...

Good news...The hall is finally cleared....lol...The piles and loaded laundry baskets kind of shift from area to area...Still deciding on stenciling, painting, etc...We went last week and looked at cabinets and beadboard...Just taking our time deciding! :)

Our new additions....Lucy Blue and Maxamillion  (known as Max)...My primitive doll has been removed because the babies have taken ownership of my doll cradle....Most times when I can't find them they will be found there...

Lucy Blue and Max have added much entertainment and joy to our household after being petless since Taylor was in 3rd grade....There are endless times throughout the day and nights that we hear bells running throughout the house....Nap and play...Play and nap....They are so much fun and I love them dearly...

What started out as one cat became two because Max was the last one and I always say pets deserve to have a buddy....And all my worries and fretting over saying yes to pets were unnecessary...They have been the best kitties from the start..Other than kicking way too much litter out of the litter box we have had no problems from day one....And when I hear them crying for me I drop what I'm doing and let them know where I am...They are like little kids...Especially Lucy Blue..She is such a girlie girl in her pink collar....hee hee!!

I hope you all have a great weekend!! I'm still working on the house and trying to get back to working on things...I have some orders and I have some new things planned....If only there were more hours in the day...:) I'll be back soon!

Until next time~~hugs, Jen

Not so cheap entertainment...lol...It has definitely been entertaining me for the past week...I guess you could say I've gone high tech in the laundry room...We talked about getting a new set for 6 yrs for energy efficiency....So, they took our old set of 22 yrs away and left me these that we had picked out a couple days earlier....

I was unsure for a few days...I hate getting use to new gadgets...But they were really entertaining also...They play music when the cycle ends, I can watch the loads wash, so many options to choose from when choosing the settings, etc....Sometimes I miss my old ones...They did wash and dry both my babies clothes!!! We got them a few months before Taylor was born...She will be 22 in a couple weeks...And they both worked, but it was taking 2 drying cycles to dry the loads, so it took way too long to do laundry...It would have been interesting to see how many years they would have worked....

So, off to wash some towels...And let me tell you I can get a ton in it instead of washing a couple loads...Not so cheap entertainment for this momma, but then I get excited when I get a new trash can also...lol!! I think I need to get out more..ha!

And to think I kept telling Tim I wanted a simple set with nothing fancy just like I had...I guess he shouldn't have taken me with him to look that day..ha!

Until next time!!~~hugs, Jen

Oh, Just  a mess! A destruction zone with no end in sight any time soon...Every day things disappear and maybe appear somewhere else or not at all...Curtains have come down over the kitchen window and I think it will stay that way for a while until I decide exactly what I want to replace them with...I have things in laundry baskets everywhere undecided on what to do with it and I'm in no hurry...It is refreshing looking at everything with sort of a clean slate.. I just keep stacking things in the laundry baskets and in the hallway....

I'm going to stencil at some point when I decide exactly what stencils i want for each room...Trying to decide if we should paint the gathering room a lighter brown...I like that it is brown and the rest of the walls in the house are white...It sets the gathering room a bit apart from the other rooms..But if we do it will be a lighter brown to make it look brighter in there...This house is so dark....Or Tim suggested maybe a gray...

But we are starting with the laundry room I do know that...More on that room in another post...

But in the meantime, I'm working on some new offerings at night and removing things a bit each day...Some walls are completely bare already...All I know is I want a "simpler" primitive look...I'm definitely not getting rid of my primitive look...

As I got in bed this morning at 5 am Tim says..."Jenny, what happened to the picture over the bed?"..."You better not have sold it"....I had to laugh...Sooo funny as I drifted off to dream world!

~~Until next time from the homestead!

Oh, my! Where do I begin? I've been gone so long from my blog that I've had people checking on me...All I can say is life got in the way..It was been a crazy busy time...I left off when we traveled to visit my Granny Ross who had a stroke, getting ready for Luke's graduation, meeting with teachers that worked with him this year and then meetings with ones that will work with him this year, vacation trips to Myrtle Beach, SC and Charleston, SC, adopting two new fur babies, a bunch of other things going on and ending this week with Luke's last day of soccer camp...I'm ready for some lazy summer days....

It has been an emotional time and busy time...Our vacation time did wonders for my spirits and stress levels...Ending the school year and planning a new one got to me so bad and I was a mess...My emotions were everywhere..I cried at everything and that is so not me...But when it comes to my kids I wear my heart on my sleeve....Ending another school year and planning on another one got the best of me...I will share more about that as it gets closer to school...It is summer and I want to focus on summer things...We will still have some days of school here at the house this summer to keep Luke up to where he is and so he doesn't forget everything this summer, so his teacher (from the school system that traveled and worked with him at preschool this year at our church) has been coming to the house to have class with him here...

But I hope to get some things finished up on my work table to share with you and check in more often in the coming days...I still have the house tore apart with the decorating...Changing things and taking out things...Trying to decide if I want to make stencils or buy them...We're going to remodel the laundry room first and unless we change our minds we plan on putting bead board on the ceilings...Thinking about painting the gathering room a lighter color....etc.....So, I will share as we decide to do these things....

I hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!!! ~~~~~hugs, Jen
