This is what I woke up to this morning!!...I took all my Christmas down last night..I had everything arranged, vaccumed, and was going to dust really good today....I knew Tim was getting his surround sound hooked up today and we had sporadically discussed holes in walls, speakers, etc since the summer.....Well, today was the day!!..It's about time I guess...Tim has had it since 2002 when he bought it and I was undergoing chemo.... He deserves to have it by now!!!...So as of right now I have two holes for speakers and they are on the back wall...So not too bad...

And what is all these orb looking things in my pictures???...

Happy New Year everyone!!!~~hugs, Jen

Christmas decor is coming down and Christmas 2009 is officially over in our home...I have candles lit and I'm listening to my blog music as I work...Be sure to praise and thank GOD for all his blessings this past year and all the opportunities and blessings HE has planned for each of us and our families in 2010...hugs, Jen

WHATCHA WORKING ON WEDNESDAY!!

Notice anything new on my fireplace??...And "No" I haven't taken down my Christmas yet....Hopefully today!...Do you see a new addition?...If you said the stockings on the quilt crane then you're right!!...I sewed these up on Christmas morning...I kept walking by my sewing machine and I kept seeing the stocking pieces laying there beside it....So while Tim and Luke were putting the new train set together I sewed....Yes, on Christmas morning...What can I say!!....I have to be creating something...So I sewed up all the cream ones...I also have dark brown and black to be sewed up....I must say they were aggravating to sew....I made them out of stocking material and my sewing machine didn't always want to cooperate even on different settings....I guess that is why the brown and black haven't been sewn yet..LOL

I have also been going through my x-stitch patterns to find some patterns that have been requested info on and to decide what new items to do this year....I love doing this at the beginning of every year, but I'm still in Christmas mode also this year for some reason....I still have Christmas designs that I didn't get around to...So I will be working on some Christmas items for myself this new year to tuck in my personal Christmas decorating when I finish them....And I have new orders also to get started on and one older( halloween) order to finally finish...I will be sharing with you more this year what I'm working on and my favorite designers and designs as requested in emails....And we may get it it together to offer some of my little simple designs I think up that have been requested...

I need to say that I'm sorry that I'm so behind on answering emails...With festivities beginning the week before Christmas including a teenager and young adult Christmas party here of 14 people, trying to finish Christmas shopping, leaving to visit family out of town for 3 days, and then all the activities leading up to Christmas and after....And Tim is still on his vacation time from work so we have been coming and going...So answering emails have been nearly impossible...So bear with me and I will get you answered soon...

I hope you have a good day...I may tackle Christmas decor today!!...

Until next time!!~~hugs, Jen

Christmas with my family....My parents, sister(Heather), and my youngest brother, Christopher...My other brother, Robbie, had to work, but I had spent time with him the night before...And this is my daddy on his best behavior!!!

My sister's beautiful simple primitive Christmas tree...She used dried orange slices covered in cinnamon, redware ornaments, and primitive fabric candy canes....

A picture of us at my in-laws while visiting before Christmas....It's always interesting trying to get a picture with a toddler!!

Gifts from my sister, Heather...She x-stitched this beautiful sampler pinkeep for me...I really love it and especially because she took the time to stitch it for me...It is stitched on 18 ct aida....I don't stitch alot on aida, but the 18 ct is so small that I may do some on it this year...It was wrinkled and antiqued...perfect!!..It sits in the lap of the santa on the child's chair...They will stay out a while!!

She also gave me these 3 cute wax chicks...I have talked about getting some wax spring things for several years, but just haven't done it...So these are my first ones and I will have to get some more items this year...

These towels are wonderful especially the mustrd colored one...it is like a linen material...

And I got my candles I requested last month that she pick up....I have 2 small candle holders that I have had for years but never could find candles to fit in it...When we were there in October I found this size and picked up 2 sets....They actually fit the candle holders with some persuasion!!LOL..But as I was putting one in it broke...So Heather picked me up a set and I bought another one for backup..I will take pics to share with you soon...Thank you Heather!!!
The santa was waiting for me when we got back from visiting family...I bought it from Evelyn...Isn't he beautiful???...And he is sitting in a child's chair that I brought home with me from the antique store I like to go to when I go visit my family in Cartersville,GA....

The Stockings are hung.....

on the fireplace with care in hopes that St. Nick soon would be here!!!...LOL...Or at least a few of his elves to help wrap!!...Yes, I'm one of these late wrappers since I didn't want to give Luke a reason to prowl around the tree...And since we watched 2 movies we didn't get started til after 2:00 and that would be in the AM....ha!ha!...So I filled stockings and Tim started wrapping while we talked about gifts we got as children..That was fun walking down memory lane.....We finished at 3:17....

So the house is quiet and all are in bed..Which is where I'm fixing to lay my head.....Merry Christmas!!
