We survived the southern ice storm Pax!!

Power came back on last night and the phones and cable came back on about 30 minutes ago...All we've had is our battery radio and our cell phones which we couldn't always call out on to try and stay in contact with my parents (who live above Atlanta) and Taylor(who lives in Charleston, SC)...We laid awake alot the first night and listened for trees falling...About 4 am I heard it and it kept coming and then it hit the wall of our bedroom...I jumped out of bed and kept saying "Tim, Tim, Tim"...lol...Like he was going to hold the tree up or something... He was grabbing Luke...Very unnerved, but no damage thank goodness...Then about an hour later we heard another in the front and it fell on my vehicle...Thank goodness my alarm didn't start blaring! And thank goodness my sun roof didn't break...We heard reports that Augusta and surrounding areas were the hardest hit with inches of ice...Please be in prayer for all the ones still without power and water...As we went out for a bit yesterday afternoon to try to find a hot meal we saw all the power trucks from all these other states that came to help us and all the men that had worked tirelessly in shifts to help us get power back...Words cannot express how much we appreciate all their endless hours of work!!

I was thinking about you too Jen. I am so glad you are all ok. It can be very scary! What would we do without the utility men who work around the clock? Thank Heaven for them. Take care.
Happy Valentines Day.

So glad you are alright. Hope your car is ok. Yes, the utility workers need to be thanked for being out there many many hours trying to get power up for folks who lost it. Happy Valentine's Day. jaice

Glad you have power again. This last storm was a mess. Here in VA we got a little bit of everything. The snow came exactly at 4pm like weather men predicted. We had sleet and freezing rain. Then we had snow thunder and another round of snow. I just want warmer weather. Sorry about your car but thank goodness you are all ok.
