Awww! A bit of Fall in the air today...This morning when I was running errands it was really muggy and rainy...NOT complaining about the rain because we REALLY need it...Later when I went to go get the mail the mugginess wasn't as bad...So maybe Fall has finally arrived here in Georgia!!..Just maybe!

Taylor started her first day of classes today and drove to school herself...YES!...She is finally with a license and driving as of almost 2 weeks ago...That really reduces my running time everyday....Now she can take herself to work and school and wherever..I have to admit I have enjoyed it...I have sent her on some x-stitch fabric trips and candy runs...But I also worry as if she was 16 and starting to drive instead of 20....I've been doing lots of praying!!!

Off to work on dinner...Everyone is home tonight, so soup has been in the crock pot....Cheesy cornbread to made and a chocolate dessert of turtles(recipe here).....Enjoy your evening!!!~~hugs, Jen

Hi Jen,
My youngest just finished drivers ed this summer and will be getting her licences (Hopefully) in Dec when she turns 16.
And yes, the thought of it does scare me at times but I try to brush those thoughts aside and remind myself she will be okay.
She is actually a really good driver.
I still can't believe my baby will be 16 soon!! :)

I think I'm coming to eat at your house tonight!!! Everything sounds Yummy!!

Take Care,
Tam

Oh am I glad those days are done for a little while...
My 12 year old informed me the other day that he would get his learners permit in 3 years!
I told him how very proud that I was of him that he had made the choice to get a job save his money buy his own car and pay his own insurance at such a young age...and did you know he will be the very first to do this at such a ripe uoung age, his sisters and brothers ahead of him did not do this until they were 18 and older! Wow smart fellow!

I have a late-blooming driver, too (almost 19). I know just what you mean about worrying like they are still 16. That celebrating independence and letting go at the same time. Bittersweet...

I just love having my daughter run to the store for me! However, I noticed on the last run, Cosmopolitan Magazine was on my receipt!

Your dinner sounds delicious, Jenn. How cool that Taylor can drive now, more time for you to stitch and design, lol.

Morning Jen, it's not really Fall feeing here right now either. And I'm anxious to get my Fall things out but when it's dreary and damp it's no fun!
Glad Taylor can drive herself now...that does leave you with a bit more time free but also having lost your 'gopher' isn't much fun...lol
Oh thanks so much for the wonderful link to the Turtle recipe...looks delicious.
