I LOVE MONDAYS!!!

YES!..I DO!!!...It's my favorite day of the week..Don't know why!...Just is!...And this has been a good one!...A big surprise when I opened the door today to get my package that our mail woman left and it was COOL!!!....YES, cool and wonderful!...It was and is suppose to be in the mid 80's this week, but today was cool for some reason...62....Did i say WONDERFUL???...
Tomorrow it is suppose to be 70 and then back up to 86 and then back down to 70 by the weekend...So we're going to be having some crazy temp changes, but we are use to that here in Georgia...But everything is still green...Not one colorful leaf has caught my attention here...But that is ok...Fall will eventually come....

So in the meantime I wanted to share what I got in the mail this morning...My dried gourds have arrived...I won them on ebay for $10 something...Aren't they wonderful??!!...Only one cracked, but that is ok....It will be taken good care of...I'm planning on putting them in front of my faux fireplaces..And hope Luke doesn't decide to use them as balls...ha!ha!..ugh!..I try to buy a few really primitive items each Fall and this is one along with my gourd swag that came all the way from Cananda...But I will share it later...

And what have I been doing today???..Well. not what I was planning on...I started out the day taking orders for my primitive boxes I have on my selling blog, but after taking Taylor to work I got sidetracked and started polishing my wood furniture...So right now I'm working on my fireplace and gathering room...It feels so good to clean!!...So you know what that means!!!!...Fall decor is soon going up!!

And my boxes have been stained...So this week I will work on getting a satin varnish on them along with everything else....

So what have you been up to today????....I didn't plan on posting today, so the primitive book I had told you I was going to share with you will still be this week...

Until next time!!!

hugs, Jen

LOVE LOVE LOVE your dried gourds!!! Your boxes look great as well.

I was pretty busy as well... I made myself some gameboards and prim signs. I realized that I had all of these stencils, but never made any for myself. Silly me : )

i wish i wuld have known you needed some gourds like that. sometimes we forget that things we find plentiful here is not so plentiful somewhere else. i would like to find some raw cotton(like still on the plant)? . do they have that in georgia?

Jennifer, I have been following your blog for a while and I just love it. I live in virginia and also love the primitive style of decorating. I did my first show two weekends ago and it was alot of work but alot of fun. I tried to send this in a email but was unsuccessful. I wondered if you would let me know where you get your boxes from. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Evening Jen, I'm late getting on today/tonight.
Been working all day.

Your room looks wonderful...so many wonderful prims and oh the boxes...wow. I see you do a little spatter on them...I like that.

Great buy on the gourds too. I see there's one that looks rather blue...how cool.

Hi Jen,
Isn't it funny how just a simple bowl filled with gourds is such a prim look? When I was working I especially like being off on Mondays.
I still like them, it's a new beginning each week.
Be looking for more pictures!

Seeing your dried gourds reminded me of the ones I found in an old shed here. I had plans for painting on them once I clean them up.

I love the pictures of your home. I wish I had the knack for making things look good like you do! :)

Take Care,
Debbie

Our weather is definitely turning cold here in Ohio. I love fall but not the falling temperatures that come with it. I really like your boxes. They turned out really nice. Please show us what they look like after you stain them.
Enjoy your day,
AMY
