Saturday Cooking....

What is everyone up to today? I'm making comfort food... Homemade Chicken and Dressing...I made this recipe for Thanksgiving and we loved it! It takes a bit of time to get the ingredients all ready, but then you just mix everything and put in the crock pot on low for 3 to 4 hrs...I love a moist dressing and this one is...Oh, I use a rotisserie chicken for mine...So much easier!

Do men understand? ha!ha! When I was in the kitchen photographing my cornbread and crockpot, Tim asks "Jenny, why are you taking pictures of dinner?" Well, it seems kind of dumb when you ask me and I have to explain..lol...Taylor just rolls her eyes and says "Dad, she is a blogger!"..I had decided I was going to posts alot more this year after Taylor fussed that i didn't last year...So, my posts might not seem exciting, but it is my life..:)

I hope you're having a wonderful day...I'm off to find something else to do and stitching tonight...

I hope you're having a great day!

Hello! How is everyone today! It's a bit chilly here in Georgia...I just added some little sewing thread boxes and pinkeep to my selling blog...I LOVE pinkeeps and I have a box like this that sits next to my sewing table that I put all my little snippets of thread in...So, I wanted to offer some to sell...

I hope everyone had a wonderful day! I've been busy here working in the house today after a 3 day weekend...Never idle hands!

Good Friday morning peeps! It is going to be a 3 day weekend...Yippee!! The kids are out of school on Monday...I'm working in the house today...I have 3 baskets of fresh clean laundry staring at me, working on making beds, and just straightening up....I hope to get to doing a bit of stitching today after my work is done unless I get into doing something else...What are you all up to today?

Hi everyone! How are you on this beautiful Thursday? I know it is rainy here, but it's almost 70 degrees after being 75-80 for the past week....A bit too warm when you're sweating in the kitchen while cooking dinner....Not ready for it being that hot...So, it is pretty perfect today and the drizzle of rain isn't bothering me one bit even if it is grocery day...

I guess you've noticed some changes...My graphic artist daughter who graduates in May with her degree has been itching to simplify my blog...I ask "Aren't graphic artists suppose to be flamboyant and colorful?" Apparently not...She said it needed to be simplified and organized. Then she brought me a list of things she is going to do...So, for 2 days my blog was off blogger while she cleaned it up a bit and deleted everything...I about had a panic attack! lol ...But I put my foot down at springy colors...My drabby brown was to stay...So, things will be added and changed over the coming weeks...It's a work in progress!

I LOVE the sampler I finished yesterday and antiqued...It's a Stacy Nash design...She offered these a few months back on her blog and I loved it instantly...And when I read that she wouldn't be making this design into a pattern to sell I knew I had to have the kit...Did I say I LOVE this sampler??? I haven't decided how I will finish it yet...

Don't forget to check out the Primitive Handmades Mercantile tomorrow....We will be updating this evening...The button is on my left sidebar...Be sure to check out everyone's offerings and sign up for the newsletter...

I'm off to get some more things done before time to go get Luke...I hope everyone is having a blessed day!!

Good evening friends!...I just added some new offerings for this new year on my selling blog....I'm going to be adding new things as I get them made....I'm looking forward to stitching alot of patterns I have had for years and haven't stitched...That is my goal this year anyway...lol...I hope to finish another one this weekend that i'm just in love with...

Hopefully we will be doing another demolition project in the late spring or summer months after Upward sports is over...Upward is just now starting for the basketball season and Tim is the director over it, so he won't have any time for much else til April....So, in the mean time I'm going to see what I can get made during these months...I'm also wanting to stencil...I just haven't decided where and what yet..

I'm thinking that my blog needs updated and changed a bit also...Hmmm!! We'll see! :)

Well, today is officially the first day back from Christmas vacation...Luke and I started back our routine on his second half of his year of kindergarten.. I can't believe the year is half over already....Tim went back to work last Wednesday after 2 1/2 weeks off...Taylor starts back this week on her last semester before her graduation in May with a graphic arts degree....And i have been stitching some new samplers to hopefully get on my selling blog tomorrow....

I really really reaaaaaallllllllyyyyy needed this vacation time...Now, when i say vacation time that doesn't mean vacation from everything...I was explaining this to my dad yesterday...When I say vacation time I mean not having to go anywhere, no schedules, getting to work on samplers, lots of family time, and movie hang out time...There is ALWAYS work for a mom...I granted myself permission to not have to make the perfect Christmas this year with my decorating...I was tired after working on the house all this time since October starting with the floor demolition and the house demolition that it leads to...My decorating was minimal this year and took all of 30 minutes to take down.....I stayed off the computer alot and I think my battery is recharged for this new year now...I think...:)

I didn't get any of the Christmas offerings made that I had planned to offer to you...So, I may do some throughout the year this year instead of waiting for next Christmas...I've been working on some samplers designed by Stacy Nash the past week...I had so many things planned, but time just got away from me...

I'm looking forward to getting back into a routine and I'm looking forward to the gorgeous temps we will be having this week...By the weekend it will be 76 here in Georgia!

Until next time~~hugs, Jen
