An Early Morning Walk About.....

My Mother's Day gift from last year...It survived the freak Georgia Winter Ice Storm 2014...

I'm loving the new open property since the fence was taken down...

Everything is starting to come alive...
This one always shows the others up each year...lol
The beginnings of my wall of hydrangeas....I now have them all down this fence...I wish the neighbor would trim the weeds on his side of his fence...lol...Luke calls it Momma's garden...I have pink, blue, and purple bushes...Five more have been planted on this side of the rocking chair since this pic was taken....

My 8+ feet tall butterfly bush...It is growing like crazy!

More of my hydrangeas from Mother's Day last year...They were my test plants to see if they could survive in this sandy Georgia soil and in these dreadful Georgia summer temps...Crossing my fingers the others do as well...

Our Timmy, the turtle, came for a visit one morning....We have been seeing him in the yard the past several years....He likes water puddles!

I have been loving working on this 32 count linen...It plays havoc on my eyes sometimes, but the end result is lovely...These are the items i offered last week on the PHM group I sell in once a month...I'm really enjoying working on some patriotic items and have quiet a few orders that I've been working on...I plan on doing some more patriotic items to offer in the coming weeks...And if time permits, I want to get to a big patriotc sampler as a continuation of my Autumn in Grundy County and Cloverdale Road samplers...I want to do one for each season from places in my childhood...So many ideas and so little time...My baby boy (ok, he's 7, but always my baby...lol) will only be young for so long, so he gets so much of momma's time...There is a season for everything...

Have a Blessed day!

The 1st two pics are designs form Falling Star primitives

The liberty bowl sampler is mine...

The last one is a Stacy Nash design...

Our new faux carriage house door.....

Only 1 more day of school and marking off another "to do" on our list...We have wanted to do this for several years and I'm so glad we have finally accomplished it....Tim made the hardware at work and the faux windows...My heart just sings as i pull up to our little carriage house in our cul-de-sac...Our little house now has much needed curb appeal...We are working at getting all the front done this summer...New shutters with colonial hardware, a colonial lamp post where the sidewalk and driveway meets, accent lighting and a few spotlights, the 3' x 5' flag Tim has made from tin, a brick porch, etc....I will share as we go along...Lots to get done before Upward soccer starts in August and then weekend projects will be harder to get to...I will share, so you can follow along with us!

Yes! Yes! Yes! I'm still here! And I can't believe that it has been as long as it has since I last posted...Since Upward basketball ended we have had endless projects going on around here...Our wall that Tim started last Spring is finally finished...We bought bricks as extra money allowed and slowly it was finished...I love the faux stacked rock look...Now, when it rains, our mulch won't wash away...Next, to trim the bushes except for my butterfly bushes...They just grow wild...They are now starting to bloom this week...This pic was taken two weeks ago...
I have been fussing at Tim to dig up those 3 bushes behind my butterfly bushes...I don't like how crowded they have gotten...They had white blooms all over them a couple weeks ago, but they only bloom once a year...
The clay pot on the porch stoop is nurturing Luke's little plant he brought home from school that they started from a seed...I'm hoping it is a sunflower...A big one!

My frog houses from broken pottery...They crawl in and shield themselves from the brutal Georgia heat!
Many more projects in the works....
