A New Primitive Table..........

Good Friday evening!...Whew!..It has been a busy week...I'm ready to stay home a while after making 4 trips everyday out of this house and sometimes 5 picking up and taking my children to school and work...And the heat and mugginess is ridiculous!!!....I can't believe how muggy it is at 8:30 in the morning!!!..But I did see on the news a 88 for 2 days this week...Oh, now that is a cold blast here in GA this time of the year and subject to change!!!lol

Two weeks ago, Taylor (my 20 year old) called from work and asked if I wanted to go to Hobby lobby and Panera Bread after she got off....And I decided that while we were out that we needed to go to the antique store that we hadn't been to since last October...

To make a long story short, I've been wanting a small table to put in front of this window...I saw it after my first time through because the man was rearranging his booth....At first, I thought it might be too small and fussed at myself for not measuring the area for just this reason....So, I proceeded to go through the whole store and then come back to see if i saw any others...Nope!..No others that were primitive...So I kept passing back by it because he was in his booth and I didn't want to let on I was REALLY interested....But finally I gathered my nerve and asked if he would take $10 less than the asking price...Which was BIG for me because I've never haggled before...He looked at the tag and said he was firm on the price, but he would give it to me for $10 less....SOLD!!!!...YEAH!....So that is my story!!...I finally have a primitive table for that spot and it is the perfect size after all...So what do you think??

And on the way home Taylor asked how she was going to get all her bags in because she is suppose to be saving money and NOT spending all of it...I told her I just had my small bag of x-stitch fabric....She replied really quick "AND A TABLE!!!"....YEP, I THINK he'll notice that...LOL...But all is well with that little primitive table in my 1550 square foot primitive house...:)

Until next time!!~~hugs, Jen

Jen,
You did good! Love your primitive table. It looks perfect in front of your window and I love what you have on it. The chair looks great with it too. I know what you mean about haggling. I often forget to even do it!
