CABINETS.... CABINETS....AND MORE CABINETS!!!

Hi everyone!...I hope you're all having a great Friday!!...I'm dragging a bit today!..I was coughing all night and went to bed at 4:oo am to get up at 9:00 to get ready to take Taylor to work...I don't know what is blooming here in Georgia right now, but it is making me miserable!!

Onto better news!!!...I CAN SEE!!!!!!!...I CAN SEE!!!!....I CAN SEE!!!!....I didn't realize how bad my eyesight had gotten til I tried on a pair of reading glasses...I got me a pair last weekend on our trip to Northwest Georgia and Chattanooga, TN to celebrate the 4th with both and all sides of our families...

So you know what that means???!!!???....I feel a cool breeze ever so faintly!!!...Fall is in the air!!!...I see pumpkins, witches, black cats, and some of my painted boxes in the works for Fall offerings!!!...Is it Fall yet???...No, but it will be here before you know it!!!...So I need to get started now that I can actually see the linen!!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I finally got pics taken of my shaker cabinets.....I painted mine black instead of blue since they no longer sell the blues I always used...They are sanded and distressed...You just can't tell from the pics...
In the hallway....
Tim's side of the bed....Awesome!!!...We've never had side tables ...Now to get them decorated with a few items...
My side.....
And by the back door in the family room....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
And a project I've been working on....Tim made me some cabinets....I painted them black and sanded them...
from this...

To this!!....It is sitting on my farm table while I arrange the items...Tim is putting it up tomorrow....It weighs a ton without anything in it...The arrangement is ever changing....The fabric is already off and a coverlet in it's place since I took this pic...So I will show the final pic when I get it the way I like it....

So what have you been up to???...The countdown has begun til the Country Sampler shoot....It is less then 2 weeks...Busy!!!...Busy!!!
Speaking of the Country Sampler and the Mercantile Gatherings.....I got to share my news with all the family this past weekend and mom handed out copies of the Mercantile to her side...
Have a good weekend!!....hugs, Jen

Hi Jen....Your cabinets are gorgeous! They look great where you have them placed. Your home is prim perfect. You just know how to decorate so well. I love the glasses. You will look so sophisticated...hehe. Now, you need to take care of yourself so that you are all well before the big magazine shoot. My daughter had something similar to you and she is still coughing....not fun.

What a great Mom for passing out the magazines to the whole family!

Last, your husband did a fine job on the two cupboards that he made. He must be a very talented man. I can't wait to see where you place them.

Get better. Great post.

Friends,
Susannah

Love your cupboards Jen! They turned out great and you found just the right spots for them. I like the matching on either side of the bed. I Really like your plates in the other cupboard. Very nice! Jayne

Hi Jen, I'm relatively new to your blog, but quickly linked you to my blog! Love the cabinets, your decorating..you are such an inspiration! I don't know about your area, but here in Ohio the mold is terrible. I've been sick for weeks! Thought it was going into pnuemonia, but thankfully not. Just a bad allergy attack. Have had to turn on air, that's helped a little. You feel better, and good luck with the shoot.

I think it's Ragweed out now because I have ezcema from it.
Oh, the nights are cool up here in North Ga. even in July. We love it here and the reason we moved from the Augusta area 8 years ago! And when that first bit of Fall is in the air, it's wonderful up here!

Cabinets look warm and worn. Great job.
Glad you can see, only bad thing now you can see if your dust bunnies are hiding.ha.
I am sure you are excited about CS doing your home. I picked up the Mercantile in Waynesville on Sat. and read it all last night. Super job on your home. I know having people doing pictures of you home in nerve racking but so worth it, I was lucky enough that RugHooking Mag. wanted a prim home with prim rugs so mine was done last yr. But it was fun and such great people to work with. I will be watching for CS with new pics from your talented hands and also your husbands also.

Just found your blog. I love it. I've added you to my blog roll. The cabinets are great. I wish I had your eye for decorating. I can make prim things but when it comes to displaying them I stink at it.
