WHAT A WEEKEND!!.....CAN WE DO IT OVER??...TEXTURE PICS PART 9

Hi Everyone!...Luke and I have been sick this week...Colds, aches, and chills,etc....UGH!!!!....It has been cold and rainy today and they say that MAYBE!!!...JUST MAYBE!!!....We may see some spitting of snow tonight!!...YEAH!!!....So we will keep looking out the windows to see if we see any!!!....

Yesterday Tim walks in and says he's been in an accident....I knew he was really late and was prepared to fuss at him for not telling me that he was going anywhere else when I was starting lunch when he left....We live off of this BUSY Washington Road....The speed limit is 45...Yeah, right...Only if they are caught by the light before they get to our subdivision...More like 60 to 80....With no turning lane!!...EVERY TIME I look in my mirror and pray they are going to slow down....And I'm always hearing ambulances going down Washington Road and I pray when Taylor and Tim are gone....Well, yesterday I heard no ambulances for some reason...I did have the washer and dryer going....

Tim had left to take Taylor to work and would have taken Luke if he hadn't been sick...Thank you LORD!!!

And as usual we turn our blinker on at least one subdivision before we get to ours and start slowing down...Tim watched in his mirror and kept thinking..HE'S NOT SLOWING DOWN!!!...HE'S NOT GOING TO STOP!!!...HE'S NOT GOING TO STOP!!!...Then he tried to pull over in the other lane some before he was hit...If he hadn't pulled over in the other lane a little bit it would have been much worse...Thank goodness there wasn't anyone in that lane...

Needless to say MY car is probably totaled...After I made sure he was ok then I got teary eyed for my car..HA!...We've had it for 12 years with no car payment for 7...It has been a great car other than just general maintenance....And Tim's truck has been paid off...So no car payments!!..Well, so much for that...Now we are probably back to a car payment and a new car....UGH!!..I hate change!!...I hate car payments!!!...I'm MAD!!!...IDIOT DRIVERS!!

And guess who hit him!?!?!?!?...An off duty deputy!!!...But Praise God he held a hand of protection to keep them safe...Tim is just stiff and sore today....But needless to say I haven't been to see my car..HA!...It may sound silly, but I just don't want to see it in that shape...I mourn my car!!!

Thanks for letting me vent!!!...So here are some more texture pics...

The mantle over my fireplace...

A faceless doll I made.....

A piece of my Bennington pottery collection..HA!....I have 2 pieces!!..Got to start somewhere!!!

An arrangement in my Bennington pottery bowl....

Everyone have a blessed week....Until next time!!...hugs,Jen

First off I am so glad Tim is OK!! But my heart breaks for you loosing your car. It's not fair you will have a payment when he is clearly at fault. I am so sorry!

Love your textures! LOL yes, 2 is a start to your Bennington collection! Gotta start somewhere. It took me years to get all my pieces - worth the wait though!

So glad your hubby is okay, we have trouble with college kids either pulling out in front of you or tail gating because they are in such a hurry!

Love the textures and I have 2 Bennington bowls and 4 mugs still have to add to them too:)

Oh Jen I am so sorry about your car. It is so good that Tim isn't badly injured!!!! Well I guess it was great that you and Luke were sick!!

I know what you must be feeling about the car payment...we have been car payment free for 10 years...I always say never again...but never say never. They are having some amazing deals on new cars here...up to 50% off!!!!

xxxRobby (oh and glad you liked my bunny....there is more to come)

Oh no! I am so sorry about y'all being sick, and then the wreck! Glad your hubby is alright, and I understand how you feel about your car. Especially not having the vehicle payments! It just seems so unfar that someone else can destroy your vehicle and put you back in debt like that. I know it happens all the time, but it's not fair. I guess you can choose to look at it this way....maybe the Lord needed to remove you all from that certain car to protect you from something worse in the near future? Maybe some of the safety equipment would fail when needed?
Whatever the reason, I wish you luck finding something you like and something that won't break your budget.
Love your texture photos and your Bennington bowl. Yes, you do have to start a collection somewhere! LOL! And what better than a bowl? I love bowls! What is your other piece?
Have a nice week!

OMGosh Jen I'm so glad eveyone is okay - oh how much worse it could have been!
Hopefully you won't have too bad a car payment - the off duty deputy would certainly have some insureance that will help some. How sad to lose something that was a comfort....I wouldn't want to see my car like that either!

Hope Luke feels better soon Jen.
Love all your textures - you take such pretty pictures.

QUESTION: Do you take a full shot and then crop your picture or do you do close-ups?
My camera doesn't like close-ups. They always come out blury.

Jen, that's a shame about your husband's accident but thank God he is alright...God surely was watching over. I hope that you and Luke are feeling better too. This has been such a winter for colds and flu. And, hope you got your wish for snow. pam
