The Fence Is Down & Masters Week Is Ready To Begin!

One of our big projects started a couple weeks ago...The old privacy fence started coming down and within a couple hours it was completely down...Tim had been talking about taking it down for several years since we own a chunk of the property behind it...I will miss the old fence and the honeysuckle vines especially during the summer, but I love the open space we have now and then Tim is going to put a fence up along the property line...Green weeds and little purple flowers are growing long the ground...It's so much fun to explore...There is still alot of clean-up from the ice storm and now that Upward basketball is over things can finally be beginning...We are planning on doing a carriage door to our garage door along with new shutters for the front and possibly some lanterns on either side of the garage if possible...We have been looking at accent lighting and we have been planting butterly bushes, hydrangea bushes, day lilies, irises, hosteas, etc. the past couple years...I want to go out back on the property and sprinkle wildflowers in areas and see what comes up this summer...And even though we live in a cul-de-sac we finally feel not so boxed in...

Everything is starting to green and the trees have little green leaves on them it seems like overnight...Dogwoods are in full bloom and azalea bushes as the Masters course signature bush that you see everywhere...

I will post some pics soon...Tim cleaned alot of the wire fence up yesterday and cleared and burned alot of the tree branches yesterday...The wire fence will come down when he gets the fence built on the property line...

And I love that Tim allowed me some really good photo shots of him...Usually he isn't into posing for pics, but this time he indulged me...

Such a transformation from when we moved in 5 years ago...You literally couldn't see through the trees and vines it was so thick back there..It was like a jungle...But each year Tim worked at getting it cleared out to what it is now...

I took a quick trip to Michael's for some stitching supplies and used my 50% off coupon...The cashier asked if i wanted to keep my flier...I laughed and said "No Ma'am, I'm not heading back over this way the rest of the week."...She laughed and said she understood perfectly...I was already seeing alot of Masters visitors all decked out in their Masters shirts and hats..And we ran into friends yesterday while out that were getting the last items for their trips because they rent their homes out every year during this week...I love the excitement of the week and all the activities planned...It seems to be coming more and more into our area with alot of houses rented out in this area and the new outdoor Lady Antebellum Ampitheater that was built a couple miles down the road...Concerts and activities are planned this week with I know Darius Rucker being here along with others...And Lady Antebellum will be back in a few weeks to perform...The boys are from here..I love the excitement in the air during spring break!!

I have added my Spring patterns for you x-stitchers in my side bar if anyone is looking for a new Spring design to add to their collection...Just email me if you're interested in anything...

This sure will expand your view. I think the wild flowers will be a beautiful sight to behold. We are working on our gardens and I have one of my dolls helping out. You are welcome to read all about it in my blog posts. Your patterns are all so lovely. Your talent of stitching and pattern designing always amazes me.

Hi Jen, I've missed ya!!!
Wow, that is one aggressive job with the fence - it's really neat looking with all the green growing on it but I know all will be beautiful when finished.
Oh the Masters - if only one day!!
Love your work Jen!!!
Hugs,
Karen

I love the idea of replacing the fence. We have four acres that we will one day put up a fence around. Nothing fancy but like you said, on the property line. Its great to open up space! Looking good
