We were away this weekend to visit Tim's family on Saturday and then mine on Sunday for early Christmas get-togethers....I always try to go to Liz's Antiques in Cartersville, GA when we go to visit my parents...Well, this time I brought home some treasures..You all know that I love my blues...

Taylor (my daughter) found this huge wooden crate for $14 for me...And I was already carrying around these BIG unfinished bowls along with this wonderful pottery...The canning crock in the middle was $8.50...The small pitcher was half price for $10....And Taylor also found this wonderful piece of Bennington pottery for a huge price of $6.50...WOW!..I couldn't believe that was all she was asking for it...Another Bennington piece to add to my collection...

But then yesterday i received my big Rowe pottery pitcher I won on ebay for $4....Isn't it beautiful???? (In the picture of the 3 pieces..it is the pitcher on the left)....

I was excited to find the unfinished tray and bowl/trencher because I've been wanting something similar to lay pinkeeps/ samplers in to display that i'm going to make using my early blue fabrics this new year...Now to decide what color to paint them....

I hope you're having a wonderful week getting ready for Christmas....I still have to do some more shopping in the next day or two....But all my food items were bought today...So at least I have that all ready!!

Until next time!!~~hugs, Jen

Hi Jen,
The next time you visit your husband's family, you must come across the mountain and visit Becky Howards store...Pigeon Creek Cabin. Its located in a pre 1810 log cabin they relocated to their farm near Lafayette. Guess what? My brother lives in Cartersville!!
I have not been in that particular antique store, but with bargains like you got, I will make a point of it next time I go.
Merry Christmas
Becky
