Hi everyone!!....How are you on this Saturday??..I've been soooo busy this week working on orders to get out, painting more frames, family stuff, etc....I thought I'd pop in and show you my new light over my farm table...Lori emailed me a few months ago and asked if I'd be interested in it...She is switching from prim to English cottage decor...Well,YES!!..I would love to have it..So after I paid her,  and the time it took to get here, and then it's been sitting waiting for Tim to lengthen the electrical cord because I had to have mine swag.... It was finally just put up last Sunday...And wouldn't you know it!!!... I noticed when I took the picture that I have a bulb that has blown out...Oh, well!

Today I had a friend of a friend of a friend call and ask to see my home...She is a primitive decorator also and had been wanting to meet me since last summer when my home was in the Mercantile Gatherings magazine.....So I ran around and got the house presentable for her to stop by....Now, if I can only get everyone to make no messes the rest of the weekend....Awwww! A girl can dream can't she?!?!?  lol

I will share with you some tweaking I've been doing in my next posts!...And where I put that chandelier that was over the table...I love it's new home!!

Until next time, my friends!!!...Big hugs,Jen

Love the light...I've got a similar one in my living room. The punched tin lights are my favorite.

Hi Jen,
I am so jealous...I have wanted one of those lights for my dining room since before I ever had a dining. It'd look so good with my aluminum, but around here they're well over a hundred dollars, so I'll keep my brass, but someday I'll get the courage to spray it black. I do have pierced tin candle lamps tho. Love those when the electric goes out.
It was so noce to meet phone to phone so to speak. You're as nice on the phone as you are on your blog. I'm so glas to befriend another country/prim/colonial/early american decor lover! There think that covers our style ;)

Hi there Jen....love your chandelier...I have one similar and have it swagged as well - we didn't want to run electricity in the ceiling - I love it swagged....

What a sweet honor to have someone want to come to your home for a personal tour...how wonderful...THIS MAKES UP FOR THE RUDE E-MAIL!
Glad you have not let it get to you and moved on...things like that aren't worth the worry.

Hugs, Karen

Jen, I'm so glad that you are not going to let that email upset you. I know it would have bothered me too, but you did the right thing by your response!
If that person is not happy with your home or Country Sampler, then why do they read it? Sounds like they need to subscribe to a magazine about living museums.
Your home is beautiful! Don't change a thing (unless YOU want, such as tweaking!).
Have a blessed week!
