Good evening everyone!!..Today was a beautiful sunny day...I have been going through tons of x-stitch patterns and magazines as far back as the 80's...DON'T LAUGH!!!..LOL....But the best thing I have come across is sheet protectors...

Now, we have been buying them for all the years Taylor has been in school, but I never paid any attention to them...Now, I've turned into a sheet protector maniac..LOL....I bought 250 of them today...I bought 100 last weekend....I've been going through all my x-stitch and getting them grouped together according to samplers, Christmas, Fall, etc...Some of my magazines I have been holding on to for years only had like one or two patterns I really liked, so I pulled them out and the magazine is in the "for my sister to go through" box....I can't even tell you how organized I feel...

So next, I will be going through my favorite home folders where I've been saving my favorite homes for years from Country Sampler and other country magazines that don't exist anymore...I got tired of saving the magazines, so I tore out the pages I wanted.. Then I stuck them in just a cheap folder....After years of them being in the folder, and me going through them, the edges are getting quite ragged.....

It's the small things in life that excite us, and right now page protectors are at the top of my list....LOL...So what have you been up to this weekend??~~hugs, Jen

I just LOVE sheet protectors!!! I have been using them since last year for all my patterns as well. I organized them all and then put them in binders with stickers on the side so I can see if the binder is a cross stich, sewing patterns and such.

You will be finding yourself lots of room now ;)

I want to do that with my old magazines too. Mine have been in the cellar, so musty. I have patterns that I love and want to keep, so thought if I put them in plastic, I could use them without the smell.

Hey, your not crazy or anything. I put all my handmade patterns in page protectors. I also put a picture of the finished project in them and a list of every last little pattern I've made for that project. When I'm working on a project, if I cut something extra out of muslin, I also add those to it, and note that they are in there. I put mine in binders by subject or holidays if they are holiday patterns. I need to go through all of my stitchery patterns and do the same thing when I have the time. I love those things!

I did some rearranging and organizing this weekend too along with putting away all of my winter decor.

Looks like your patterns are very well organized which is so nice!

I used to use tons of sheet protectors when I ran the nurseruy school for all my policies and procedures. Great idea using them for your magazine pages and patterns!!

Great idea! I have been going through stacks of magazines too, just running out of room. I will get some of these protectors.

It must be the time of year.We are moving the sewing machines and anything that may get ruined out of my basement sewing rooms.Iowa is predicting floods again this spring and I am going to be ready.Everything will be 2 feet off the floor.
I have gone through hundreds of magazines in the last week.I never throw them away. The time has come to downsize.
They are selling at the 2nd hand store.
Thanks for the idea of using sheet protectors. judy j

Yes! Feels so good to get organized, doesn't it?! You've got a wonderful system going on.
