January 5, 2009

Wow!...The first full week of 2009...It's a busy one in our home...We have revival this week and Tim is on deacon duty, so it makes for some late nights since he has to clean up and lock up afterwards....Then Upward begins again with basketball practices during the week and games every Saturday...Tim doesn't coach... He is the director...But he is at the church many evenings and Saturdays making sure everything runs smoothly...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Taylor will know tomorrow about her class schedule and then I will know my schedule...UGH!!...A little afraid what it will be!!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Christmas came down the 26th...But I will leave it on my blog for a while since I didn't get the slideshow on til the week before Christmas...I can look at Christmas anytime of the year for ideas....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The house seems really bare, so I've been doing some rearranging and some planning for some new furniture pieces made hopefully in the next few months...And when I started this blog I think I told you that this house was a project in the making...We moved in 8 months ago...And I've been very honest with everyone that this isn't my "forever" home...And I've refrained from really doing any personal touches until now...But in two weeks if all goes as planned...We will be starting in Luke's room and painting...The trim will be the blue/gray that we used in our former home in the upstairs...So that means the rooms will be tore apart as we go through the house...All the shelves, cabinets, peg racks, etc will be coming down with everything on and in them coming down also!!...UGH!!!...But I told Tim I want this to be as FAST and PAINLESS as possible!!!...So I'm NOT looking forward to this!!!...But I'm looking forward to the outcome...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
But in the meantime I want your advice on some rearranging I have done....I took the table out of Luke's room and put it at the end of the kitchen counter inbetween it and the faux fireplace...My question to you~~Is it too much???...Too cluttery???...What do you think???...

When we get finished the cabinets will be the "taupe" color I had at my former home...I really like that shade and it goes really well with the colors I use in my decorationg.....I just can't stand the white anymore unless it is on the wall....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I have many things lined up to share with you...From my sampler collection to all my new decorating projects...So happy 2009 and I hope it is a blessed year for all of us!!!!...hugs, Jen
AND HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY!!!....I LOVE YOU!!!!
Greetings! What a wonderful surprise to have a message from you. I truly believe God works in so many awesome ways and I am so uplifted by your words of encouragement. Sometimes I tend to be so "me" oriented that I forget that my life is pretty amazing and my trials could be much tougher. Thank you for helping me to remember that. Congratulations on being a cancer survivor and the joy of having a longed for little one. It makes my heart sing to know that God has worked these beautiful miracles into your life.
You have an absolutely gorgeous blog. I love primitives too. Since I am pretty new to blogging, only since Dec. 15, I have a lot left to learn. In a couple of weeks, my cousin and his family will be coming for a visit. His wife started me blogging and is going to help me get my primitives page started so that I can share mine. I am so excited an can hardly wait! Her blog is called My Journey Through Infertility and she also has a primitives blog called Primitives from Above. If I can remember correctly, she is the follower right next to me on your list. :) She is an absolute sweetheart and has some really gorgeous primitivess as well as some great ideas! She is a woman after my own heart. :)
I think the table looks beautiful where you have placed it. No, I don't think it is too cluttery. It is a perfect fit and decorated so wonderfully! :)
Thank you once again. Blogging for me has been truly uplifting in so many ways and am greatful that there are so many wonderful women out there, like you, who care enough to read my blog, share their stories and leave me support and encouraging words. :) What an incredible light you shine for Christ ~ something I strive to do everyday.
I will look forward to following your blog and also getting to see all of your beautiful prims and ideas too. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family as well, and thank you for all of yours. Stop back by my blog soon, would always enjoy hearing from you. :)
Lots of smiles, hugs and blessings,
Hello, I just came across your blog. We have similar tastes in decorating, and I enjoyed looking at your slideshows. I especially love how you use greenery tucked here and there. It's wonderful.
Jennifer,
Thank you for visiting my blog! I am so glad you did! I had run across yours a little while back back and got distracted with a phone call and when I had time to get back to the computer, others had needed it in the mean time so I couldn't remember your name. Your blog is so nice and your decorating is great. I love what you recently did with the fireplace and table. I didn't think it looked cluttered one bit. I will be adding you to my list of favorites so I can visit back often. Have a great day!
Jen, i think it looks wonderful! I am always so moved by your style of decorating...I think my husband wishes he hadn't gotten me my own computer because I seem to be always trying to imitate what you and a few of the other girls are doing in their homes. He just shakes his head and says..."What next!' He doesn't get the whole "prim" look. But I'm still going to keep him! Thank you always for your inspiration. And I can't wait to see what you have in store for us this coming year! pam
Hi Jenn, I don't know how I have missed your Blog - actually I think I've been on before but look what I've been missing!!!
Thank you so much for ordering from my website - it's much appreciated.
I LOVE YOUR HOME and took the tour - which now I do believe I was on before and viewed it. JUST BEAUTIFUL.
Just wondering about the table next to the fireplace - what if you turned it longways and gave a little space on each side so that everything wasn't lined up. Might now work, but try it once. Otherwise it really looks good the way it is.
