PICS OF OUR FORMER HOME AND NEW HOME!!!

I hope everyone has had a great weekend!!!...I've sort of been dragging this weekend and haven't gotten a lot accomplished...I'm fixing to get 4 baskets of laundry folded and clothes started in the washer....Then I hope to get the top of my computer cabinet arranged in a way I like it....Tim hung a quilt crane above it...So I will share pics when I'm happy with it!!....Then I'm hoping to finish the sampler I'm working on and get it in a coffee bath tonight...Those are my plans anyway!!

We took a drive several weeks ago...I've been wanting to take pics of our former house....I really don't have but one good pic of it and that was from one Spring ....But every time I've been by it since, we moved a year ago, the yard has been terrible!!!!!...It really broke our hearts because Tim always had the yard spotless...We always had compliments on how beautiful it was...It was like the house was crying out to us saying "Why did you leave me!!"...A Christmas tree wasn't even put up at Christmas time in the huge bay window like I always did...We found out that the couple divorced....So Sad!!!...So I was thrilled when we drove by that day after visiting neighbors across the street and saw the yard looking freshly mowed and clean...So I had to snap some pics for you!!!

It has taken us this whole year to let go of this house...We hated selling it and moving, but the house has masonite siding and every year we were spending money replacing rotted wood and repairing...And also it is a two story and we knew that years from now this couldn't be our final home with aches and
pains from climbing stairs...So we put it up for sale and put it in God's hands...Our philosophy was if it sells then it was meant to be....Well, we had an offer in 11 days!!!...

So this is our FORMER home!!!...I absolutely love this house!!!...Are you surprised it's blue????...LOL






















And our NEW home we've been in for a year...A one story brick...Yes, we lost 200 square feet in the process, but it goes to show that any home can be turned primitive....Even if it is a plain little brick house...In a cul-de-sac...Nestled between houses....



















So Tim is working on the outside...It is like a clean slate...It amazes me that this Spring there were no flowers of any kind that popped up...It's kind of sad that no one has ever planted anything around it...I thought at least some day lilies would pop up somewhere...No!!...

So soon I will show you a few pics of the back yard and property...So, I'm off to fold clothes and then hopefully finish the sampler I'm working on...So until next time....have a good week!!!...hugs Jen

New Slideshows Added On My Blog.....

Hi everyone!....Where did the week go??...I didn't get nearly enough accomplished this week as I had intended....I sorted through a pile of doll patterns I had stacked up, went through and organized all my linens that I x-stitch on, tried to get some x-stitching in, organize all of Luke's toys, picked up a big x-stitch order of new patterns I'd ordered, housework, housework, and more housework....I even deleted a bunch of pictures in files on the computer that I've been needing to do...It feels good to get these things done,but there is always so much more to get to!!!

One of the highlights this week was chatting with Linda from Behind My Red Door Blog....She is such a sweetheart and a kindred spirit..I'm don't think we had a moment of silence between us even though this was our first phone conversation...We will definitely be chatting again!!!...After you get through here go check out her blog..http://behindmyreddoor.blogspot.com/....She has an awesome post about her pottery...I so enjoyed it!!...Definitely a weakness I have, too...Thanks Linda!

I have 3 new photoshows added on the right...Thanks to my daughter, Taylor!!!...One is new updated photos of the house...Things are always changing around here...Then there are pictures of past x-stitch items I've stitched and ones in my own collection...And lastly pics of the texture series I did a while back and I will be adding to it again!!...Just click on the pictures...

SOLD!!!...THANKS!!...I'm finally able to get back on here!!...I can no longer view my blog or anyone elses using internet explorer....Yesterday I was able to and then from the afternoon on I couldn't...Let me just say I was starting to panic!!!...Really panic!!!...No blogger wants to be where they can't view their own blog!!!...So now I'm on mozilla firefox...I hate change!!...I'm a creature of habit....Hopefully I will get use to it soon...

MORE PICTURES TO SHARE!!!

How has your weekend been so far??...Everyone has been busy around here today and coming and going all day...I on the other hand have stayed around the house and gotten some things done I've been putting off all week...Like straightening Luke's room...Getting rid of baby things that he's outgrown and some he never used...Picking up toys and putting them in a box...Boy, does he need a toybox...I see a project coming on!!..HA!...So it's nice to go into his room and everything in it's place and it feels all clean and organized...At least for this second...HA!...I was finishing it up when Tim and the kids came home...He had taken Luke to some kiddie jump/activity center here and picked Taylor up after work..Then it was onto grilling hamburgers and a big downpour in the middle....But Tim finished the grilling and Luke played in the rain...It was his first time...He was drenched!!..

I on the other hand have felt bad all day...My throat was sore on the right side this morning and now throughout the day it has spread to my entire throat and my head hurts...UGH!....And Tim has informed me that I'm cranky!!...Not meaning to...HA!

So I thought I'd share some more family room pics with you....

I've never showed you this view....We have vaulted ceilings...My decorating needs to go up....My plans are to put a shelf above the tv......

looks funny, huh?....and no the tv isn't in the middle of the room and it can't be placed there...

And here is one of my new goodies...When I saw one of these back before Christmas on the Prim and Rustic forum I had to have it!!!...But I missed it by a mere 5 minutes....Someone else had emailed Cheryl first...UGH!....So several weeks back I was checking out her picturetrail and ordered some stuff from her...(I will post those pics soon along with her picturetrail info)...But anyway, she told me she had another one of those trees....YEAH!!!!!....I immediately told her I wanted it...It's going to take me some time to decorate it...I'm want to decorate it with wax ornaments and very primitive things...So I will add some things here and there...
