My Giveaway!!

Hi Everyone!..I wanted to get pics of my giveaway on here...Time to get up for church will come soon, but I wanted you to see what you will be getting if I draw your name...I HOPE you LIKE it!!..I free handed without a pattern...Just LOTS of thought as I stitched...You will receive the "Christmas at the Olde Homestead" pinkeep and framed "Christmas 1762"sampler...The quilt piece and coverlet are NOT included...I took pics with flash and without...

I amaze myself sometimes...I free handed the "Christmas" in the frame...Praying the whole time it would fit inside the frame when I finished and not be a waste of my time...Can you see it fit perfectly??!...I just had to share that with you!!..Ha!Ha!...I was so thankful!!!

ok...I'm going COMPLETELY out of my element, but I wanted to ask what your opinion is....I have been getting emails about my free-handed items asking if I sell them as patterns..I'm always VERY flattered...But as I continue to get them I wanted to ask your opinion if my VERY SIMPLE freehand is pattern worthy???...So all my "friends"(Followers) that are x-stitchers or admirers of x-stitch....What do you think???...Give me your honest opinion!!...

Ok.....Go down to the previous post if you would like to add a comment to be added for the drawing...

Until next time~~hugs,Jen

  16. I say yes to the patterns. I have not stitched in years although I was pretty good back in the 80's. To you they may seem simple but to a newbie what a great starting point and not to over whelming. I have looked at a few prim ones I would love to do but the projects seem too big to be just starting again.
    I would buy from you.

  17. I like simpler stitchery, I cannot focus my eyes long enough for larger ones and the small ones are great for gift giving. You could do a booklet with various designs that people can mix and match.

Hi my name is Traci and I think you freehand work is awesome! Freehand comes from the heart and adds character and gives more of a homemade feel that if a pattern was used. Freehand is truly OOAK!
Keep at it - Love it!

  27. Jen, just love your stiched items. Wish I could do it. I live in Wilmington, Nc, and we have no prim shops around. I discovered your blog, via your article in Mercantile Gatherings. 28. Your handwork is wonderful, pattern worthy, yes! Being that it is freehand as you say, then it is hard to put in a pattern. I would add a disclaimer about your "style" so that people understand they can freehand stitch and it makes it there own too. Your pattern would be a starting point, and reference. It's kind of like baking from scratch, most times it works out and is surprising, but sometimes things don't. LOl, best wishes on your decision.

  35. Yes, they are pattern worthy, I love your work! Give it a try. I know many ladies who created their own style of cloth rag doll and then branched off into the patterns. They made more money selling patterns! Good Luck whatever you decide to do!

  40. I think your work is wonderful! It is BEYOND "worhty!" The simple-ness of it is an ART! Not everyone can attain such a feat! I can't offer any advice about whether to sell patterns or not, but I can tell you that I would struggle very hardif I tried to immitate something you made. I know I could never do it!

  41. Yes I do think they are pattern worthy. I personally can look at your photo and be able to stitch it without a pattern, but new stitchers always benefit from even a simple pattern, that's my opinion! I think you did great making those with no pattern.

  42. Yes, please offer in patterns. Your work is awesome!!! I would love to purchase your patterns.
